Romance Wanted, While I'm Alive

In a society where many people are overworked, lazy, and narcissitic, can romance exsist?  Several comments made by jaded people and hearing what my classmates (mostly guys) have to say about romance I sincerly doubt it's exsistence. Being a dtermined girl I will not accept the death of romance. Today I hope to correct the false ideas people have about romance. If only one person does something truely romantic because of this post I will count it as a mission accomplished.
Before I start correcting I guess I should show you what the false ideas are. Mostly due to media most people think that romance is expensive or at least costs money. These people think that to be romantic they need to buy lavish gifts, or go through walks in the sunset. While these cliche gifts and events can be romantic they are not what romance really is.
For real romance it doesn't matter what you do or give, it's about how you both feel. In my opinion romance is all about sincerity. A romantic outing doesn't necessarily have to be somewhere or something considered romantic, it can be a round of video games at home, or just grocery shopping. Romance is about sincerity and love. Romance is when you do or say something not for yourself, but because you care about another person. It looks different for everyone, but all that matters is that even for just a minute you put the person you love's needs before your own, because you love them and for no other reason.
I think today's misconceptions about romance is mainly due to when people are romantic. Romance should not be used just to get out of trouble. It's not an apology be sincere don't just do something romantic everytime you get into trouble. Too many people have alterior motives when they do something nice. If you love someone do something for them not for yourself.

Doctor Who Quote
I bet one of the executioners did something incredible romantic to get out of this one.
Jack: Oo. A little too much vermouth. See if I come here again! laughs. Funny thing. Last time I was sentenced to death I ordered four hyper-vodkas for my breakfast. All a bit of a blur after that. Woke up in bed with both my executioners. Lovely couple. They stayed in touch. Can't say that about most executioners. Anyway. Thanks for everything, computer. It's been great.

Six Cliques

In high school and throughout your life you will meet people that like to stay in their own cliques. Sometimes it's difficult to find your own group of friends, but knowing the different cliques and how they work can make your social life easier. Basically most people can be split up into six group which include, rebels, artsies, nerds, populars, jocks, and the loners. Here is your guide to the annoying world of cliques.
   1) Rebels: The main thing that the people in this group have in common is the need to rebel. This can be because of an insecurity or just extreme aggression. Mainly they rebel by smoking, insulting others, or even drinking. Rebels can be passive, aggressive, assertive, and anything in between. Some of them can be quite nice, but trouble seems to follow them like a lost puppy. There is not a lot of inter-clique mingling with this group. They tend to make fun of most of the other groups. If you do manage to become friends with a rebel try to use positive reinforcement do not nag them about their bad habits. Usually they are irritable, but just try to be nice and you should be fine. Sadly to become a part of this group you may have to make it sound like you did something risky. Rebels usually date other rebels and loners.
   2) Artsies: This group is brought together by their extreme need for individuality, although because there are so many of them their similarities make them a group. It's kind of funny that their extreme lust for individuality is stopping them from becoming truly individual. Most of the people in this group are overly nice and get along with almost every clique, although their relationship with the populars is a little strained. To get along with this group just be yourself. This is a good group of friends to share whatever ideas you have they will probably encourage you, or at least give feed back. Random comments that come out of nowhere are encouraged, and can probably cement a place for you in the clique. Artsies date any clique except jocks.
   3) Nerds: There are some nerds who just think highly of themselves because of their intelligence, but cool nerds like me don't rub their smarts in the faces of others. Some of us are quite sociable, and our personalities somewhat resemble the Artsies. To make friends with a nerd spew out some little known trivia, be forewarned we will probably retaliate with more trivia on the subject. You don't necessarily have to have good grades to be a nerd, we are genuinely accepting and will probably be friends with you if you're nice to us.
   4) Populars: The people in this clique are a little prissy, and for them friend does not always imply a long term relationship. While they are usually not seen hanging around with nerds, loners or rebels they can be nice once you get to know them. Being slightly shallow and not the brightest they are the top pick for jock relationships. Most people belonging to this group are there because they knew the right people. When trying to join a popular group remember it's all about who you know, but try to have a group of friends to fall back on, because popularity is fickle.
   5) Jocks: A group made up of mainly sporty guys who like to stick to themselves. Turns out jocks can be pretty smart, because there are quite a few of them in my honours classes. They have a tendency to joke too much and can be insulting. They are narcissistic and if you're dating one they may forget about your feelings. If you are in any group other than popular chances are you won't have to worry about dating one. If you want to join this group just find a sport that you're good at and work hard at it.
   6) Loners: Technically this clique is not a group, because loners don't hang out with one another a lot. Mostly they keep to themselves and are quiet. Their behaviour could be because of a bad situation or shyness. I encourage everyone to talk to these people and regularly invite them to outings. At first they may be a little stand offish but you may make an impact and brighten up their life, or at least their day.
Some people have trouble fitting in one group and prefer flitting between groups. I highly recommend this, because you get to know more people, and in some cases you get to know yourself more. These are just generalities that do not provide a solid definition. Do not let my definitions define you, but help your social life blossom.

Doctor Who Quote
Two quotes from the fourth doctor. A quote about math and a quote about Shakespeare. This is just awesome.
The Doctor: [To a skull] Awww! Would you like a jelly baby? No, I don't suppose you would. Alas. Poor skull.
The Doctor: Well, I just put 1.795372 and 2.204628 together.                                       Romana I: And what does that mean?                                                                                     The Doctor: [grinning wildly] Four!
